Tim & Myles Thompson
Father-and-son musicians bringing original songs and distinctive arrangements to the stage.
A musical partnership shaped by shared stage time, deep musicianship, and a wide-open sense of style.
Tim and Myles Thompson have performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival, Walnut Valley Festival, and Chet Atkins Festival, and have opened for Spyro Gyra, Don Williams, Mountain Heart, Richard Elliot, Aaron Tippin, and Wynonna Judd.
Tim is a session player, singer/songwriter, and two-time winner of the International Fingerstyle Competition. Myles began playing violin at age five and, by twelve, was studying music theory and improvisation. He is also a singer/songwriter and mandolin player, and has toured with Robben Ford and Crystal Gayle.
Tim has worked with Tommy Emmanuel, Crystal Gayle, and Hwy 101. He has released eleven CDs and two DVDs, has been featured in Wood & Steel, Just Jazz Guitar, and Fingerstyle Guitar, and has taught at Fur Peace Ranch and Steve Kaufman’s Guitar Camp.
The Thompsons perform original songs and distinctive arrangements of covers, with a sound that moves among acoustic rock, pop, country, Celtic, jazz, and funk.
